The Running Y is about an hour from Crater Lake and lots of other hiking options nearby. Great amenities with everything you need within walking distance. Cozy rooms, and beautiful grounds. Bugs were not an issue during the end of September.

We went here on a timeshare exchange and the unit was clean, comfortable, and offered privacy for two couples. Beverly checked us in at the front desk and was a wealthy of information about the area, supermarkets (Fred Meyer was our favorite) and sightseeing and ways to get to attractions. She was even able to tell us which of the days that we were at the resort would be best for viewing Crater Lake.

This is the place to stay near Klamath Falls for beautiful surroundings near Klamath Lake with the added bonus of perhaps seeing a wolf, a cougar, and many deer. The facilities are ordinary, the food is ordinary; however the setting is special and worth a trip.

We stayed in the lodge at the Running Y Ranch Resort in October for three nights. This was our first visit. The rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful. The property is beautiful! The location of the Running Y Ranch is convenient for sightseeing in the area such as Crater Lake. The old downtown of Klamath Falls is about a 10-15 minute drive. We will return.

Stayed at Running Y overnight on our way to CA from Crater Lake. The resort is huge, lobby area is very nicely done. However, the room is a bit outdated. We did not eat at the restaurant. Pool is a good 5-minute walk from the main building, and the walkway was not lit very well at night. We booked and paid for the stay through Booking.com. However we got charged for additional $15 per person for resort fee on top of what we paid. This was not disclosed at time of booking. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
