Moab is a pricey place to stay. The first time I was in Moab I was shocked at the motel prices and I found the Apache, stayed there and was satisfied. So now on my second stay in Moab I again picked the Apache because of the value that it gives in the Moab area. With the money you save you will be able to pay for your meals. No complaints with the room or service. Also with its history and location I would call it the best value in Moab.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

Spent 2 nights here, location is very quiet, but the motel needs a MAJOR renovation. As soons as we walked in the room smelled mildewy/stunk...carpet was dirty, bathrom was horrible, the bed was tired, the intense mildew smell in the room penetrated through our clothes..For the price I would go else where....NEVER AGAIN HERE....

AWFUL!!

What a disaster. We have stayed at the Apache Motel a handful of times only because my husband stayed there as a child with his parents. I do not love it; I didn't particularly like it either, but I love my husband and it is not a big deal to stay there once a year for Jeep Safari for 4 days. We checked in on Wednesday after a long, tough day, planning to stay until Sunday. Upon check-in, I left my $400 headphones on the counter in the office; when I returned to pick them up. the woman who checked me in, and the only person working the front desk, stated I did not leave them there, which I knew as not true, but there was not much I could do. I spent them evening crying as the headphones were a gift from my husband. The next morning I went back to the office to inquire if they had a security system to see the footage from my check-in. I was informed that the headphones were there and they were returned to me. When I questioned how they magically showed up after 5 minutes of my exit from the office the evening before, I was met with resistance, anger, and curtness. I left the office relieved I had the headphones back and went to breakfast with my family, intentionally leaving the "Do not disturb" sign on the door as I felt uncomfortable with the staff. Upon return our room was entered and our things moved. I went back to the office to request check out at 10:50a. I was met again with unprofessional ism, no concern for my issues, avoidance of any responsibility, and dishonesty. The manager refused the check out and dragged the issue out until 11:21a. My husband tried to talk to her as well and she was just as aggressive. We checked out anyways, paying for the night we did not stay there, and moved to another hotel. The rooms are DISGUSTING. There were bugs, a stench I cannot describe, it is loud, the walls are paper-thin, the toilet would not flush properly, the shower and tub enclosure had holes, the carpet was dirty, the bedding was stiff, and the staff was horrible. In the past the staff was great, but these "new" people are awful. With a motel as dilapidated as this one, you HAVE to make up for it with a service staff that is exceptional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND APACHE MOTEL, unless you don't mind unsanitary conditions and horrible service.

Clean, comfortable room and bathroom, both of which have been recently remodeled. The hotel is Four blocks off the Main Street and near the downtown bike path. The continental breakfast is pancakes, muffins and cereal.

Spend your money somewhere else

Pros: - Staff was friendly. - This property is a little off the main drag so it is quiet, yet still convenient to where we needed to go. Cons: - Could be cleaner. I wiped up some water spills from the bathroom floor and the paper I used came up dirty like the tile hadn't been cleaned. - Breakfast is only from 7 am to 9 am. - Decor is old and worn. - Not a good value for the price. - TV was tiny.
