Our family recently returned from our first trip to Whitefish on a Spring Break ski vacation and stayed at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake, which we absolutely loved! It is clear after surveying the town that the Lodge is far and apart the nicest and best place to stay in town. The rooms were both spacious and cozy, and the in room features made it clear you were staying at a true 4 star hotel. We, and our children loved making daily trips to the indoor pool and jacuzzi after a day of skiing, and also visited the outdoor jacuzzi daily as well. The outdoor jacuzzi sits alongside Whitefish lake and also looks out towards "Big Mountain" which is so scenic. We arrived via Amtrak, and took advantage of the hotel's free shuttle both during our arrival and departure as well as during our stay for trips up to Big Mountain (for skiing) and into town and back. A few stand-out employees we had the pleasure of knowing while we were there were, Charley, Phil, Kyle and Harrison. One last thing to note, if you are privileged to have nice weather, go for a walk to dinner to The Last Chair, just up the road from the Lodge. It was our favorite restaurant while in Whitefish, (so much so we ate their twice).

The room was huge and amazing. The lodge is rustic and beautiful and so convenient to everything! We hiked in Whitefish Mountain Resort and then moved on to Glacier National Park. Perfect place to unwind

A group of is were booked in to the LWL and I discovered that staying in the Viking Lodge across the road is much better than in the main. Its quieter and has an amazing pool with an above average gym for a hotel. The room was very large and as quiet as it can be with ski season boots. The free shuttle is very flexible and is a great option if you’re out for beers. I’d def come back and get the AAA rate for the a Viking Lodge.

Stayed at the Lodge for a ski week with 38 ski club members. We truly enjoyed the stay. It's a beautiful example of Western elegant rustic! The services extended by the staff were awesome and greatly appreciated. Ryan and staff went above the norm to accommodate our group. Highly recommend.
