Beautiful resort, but not all rooms created equal!
Love staying here. Beautiful resort. Thought I would spend a bit more to be on the better side of the road, but ended up getting a room facing the road just on the other side. Lake view or the second lodge would be my suggestion. Clean big rooms, but small shower. Hallway was surprisingly cold. Lounge was great for live music, food, and drinks with great view. Nice shuttle service

Thankful for the slow season
I have been working on a matter that requires travel to the Flathead Valley about once a month. The Lodge is quite popular, and there has never been a room available in the short lead time my trips allow. However, last week--the week before Thanksgiving--there were abundant rooms, and at deeply discounted rates. What a treat, if business takes you away from home, to be able to stay at such a place. The room was luxe, yoooge bathroom tastefully done, and the Lodge employees were all very friendly and accommodating. It's also a plus that the Valley isn't as crowded in this "off" season. I am going to make a note that the time to consider the Lodge is the week before Thanksgiving.

Weekend Trip - a room with a bed
The pool is so small its cute. The gym is adequate. The bar is good, the shuttle is good, the people are friendly. The maitre d at the restaurant was a bit clueless and abrupt, maybe she had had a bad day.
There was a very annoying noise every night from 2am to midday where it sounded like pipes were banging - we were in the viking building right by the elevator. Luckily I drank enough to not notice it most nights.

A Great Experience Overall
We’ve stayed and dined here before, and always enjoy it.
The rooms in The Lodge (building by the lake) are spacious and comfortable. The Viking (building across the street) has smaller comfortable rooms but great access to the indoor pool, hot tub, and gym. The quality of the buildings and rooms are first rate.
The restaurant and bar are a little pricey, but they deliver great food with equally great service.
We’ll be back.
