Great Location. Poor Hotel

This was our first trip to the area and we intentionally selected a hotel with amenities and a good location. The location was really the only thing we ended up feeling was “as advertised.” Upon our arrival, the valet declined to assist us with parking or our bags, just directed us across the street. We selected a Viking suite not being aware that a very busy street separated our room from all functional amenities. The room is very dated and showing wear (cob webs on the lamps did not help). The pool and hot tub in our building were completely closed the entire three days we were there (over a busy weekend). The front door to our building (not monitored by anyone) was frequently ajar and unlocked. On our day of departure the elevator did not work, so we had to hand carry our luggage down the stairs. When we checked out our bill has three days of “optional fees” added without our knowledge or consent which I only caught after I left and had to email to have it removed ($42 in total). There is over $150 of fees and taxes per night on top of the extremely expensive room rate for what was offered. At no time did anyone ask about our stay, which is reflective of the effort that was put into making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. On our next trip, we will find an AirBnB/VRBO.

Great wolf lodge as a hotel...great for young families but not really worth it

Came here with higher expectations. It's basically only families with young kids, who rule the pool, the overpriced hotel restaurant that is very mid and are always running and crying in my hotel room. Not saying I had a bad experience at all, more just disappointed because the price point DOES NOT match the value. Paid a lot for a suite that is laughable, right in front of their restaurant and all the room are super outdated. You also can't swim in the lake because it's so shallow it only does knee deep. The staff here is very nice and the location is great. The tiki bar restaurant is also great vibe super fun. But if you want a relaxing read your book by the pool adult vacation, this isn't your place

Disappointed and wish they advertised hot tub and pool accurately as we would’ve gone elsewhere

A 3 because the food is very good and the lake setting pretty. A 2 rating better as hot tub and heated pool advertised. Hot tub is a hot kiddy pool as no adult can use it - it’s filled with kids yelling and playing. Pool freezing. Lounge chairs are not enough for guests - been here 4 days and today the first day we got chairs only because we came out at 930 am to grab. It’s far from peaceful. The room rates are high compared to what you get.

Hotel is large with condos and single rooms. Seems like a party and wedding venue. Room was comfortable and lakeshore is pretty. It is a short drive outside of Whitefish, a cute town with restaurants and shops. I was hoping for something more peaceful and remote. Just not my cup of tea

The lakeside suite was epic!

Absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the lakeside suite, which is a condo. Booked a last minute stay for 2 nights, price was very reasonable. Gorgeous view, very cozy, clean etc. Not sure how the actual main lodge rooms are. The hotel was quiet and very upscale feeling. Front desk was lovely.
