Arrival, room, The Den, THE SHUTTLE service - all amazing! We took the shuttle to and from the ski hill, twice. On time and friendly and informative. Breakfast was totally satisfying, too. Mostly the staff - they all took great pride in their work and their town. We felt welcomed and enjoyed every part of our experience. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Whitefish.

Great time at The Pine Lodge over New Year's!! We had a 12/31 8 year old birthday boy, there was New Year's Eve party in the lower level pool room (not over the top partying, just pre-party before going out - nothing wild), front desk let us setup in the breakfast area. Had a great time, special memories for an 8 year old, we ordered in food, had cake and played games. Rooms were clean, staff was great, & it is pet friendly. They have a secure room to store ski gear, even boot/glove drying in the room. Icing on the cake, I received a call from the hotel the day after we checked out that we left a pair of glasses in one of our rooms, they wanted to know whether to return them to our address on file. I can't tell you how many times we have left items in hotel rooms, never ONCE has the hotel called to ask where to send them.

Not a bad option in pricey Whitefish/Glacier National Park

We stay here for 1 night at the end of our two-week trip through 3 national parks. It is a short drive from downtown and not far at all from the airport. We had a "premium" room on the same floor as the lobby facing the river. The room was spacious and clean. It also has a balcony looking out to the river. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It also offers complimentary bicycles and kayaks. There is a small dock by the river; our family had a good time kayaking the river. My only compliant is the constant vibration we felt from the floor. It was especially noticeable by the sofa area. Since we only stayed here for one night we did not bother to bring it up. Breakfast was ok.

A Solid 4

I personally believe that a hotel is only a five when it has everything you could possibly want in the perfect setting. That would make this hotel a really solid 4 and a good value. I found the room to be clean, the bed and bedding great and the hotel a convenient location. It is walking distance to down town. Some of the hotels in the price range are not in walking distance. The room has everything you need and then some. I have never stayed in a hotel that supplied steamers for your clothing. The reason I don’t give this hotel a five is that the advertisement, that this hotel is located on a scenic river, a bit of an exaggeration. (See photo attached). The river is an unremarkable sight with a dirty Quonset hut and abandoned trailer dominating the view. Also the bathroom was tight and the room did not look anything like the picture on the website. There was an empty space near the window where I think a desk used to be. Picture attached. I would stay here again because it is a convenient location, a good value and it is clean. One piece of advice: ask for a room facing the river. The rooms on the front side might hear traffic from the busy road in front. I can’t comment on the breakfast because I did not eat the breakfast. The room was full when we left.

It was fair....

I booked a suite for 2 nights as a bit of a treat after 2 weeks in Glacier where the accomodations are on the rustic less luxurious side. The suite was roomy and extremely clean. There was a fair sized jacuzzi tub in the bedroom and vaulted ceilings. But there were several things that weren't great. The shower was so small it felt claustrophobic. The balcony faced the parking lot. and the walls were paper thin - so thin we could hear the people in the next room talking even though they weren't speaking loudly. Their TV could be heard readily through the wall as well. There was also a utility closet next to our room so we heard the staff preparing for the day and their conversations through the wall at 7:00 AM. The continental breakfast was fair. Overall it was an OK stay but had enough minor annoyances that I probably won't book here again. It was fair but for over $300/night I expected much nicer.
