Free shuttle to downtown Whitefish was great! Rooms were nice- if you decline housekeeping, you get a $5 credit to use at the bar or gift store. Nice fire pit outdoors at night. Close to Glacier National Park.

Arriving w/out a Car, No Need for Private Transport if a Guest--But Bring Flashlight

Stayed at the hotel two nights before meeting others who were driving. Immediate benefit, the hotel offers free pick-up to/from the airport and as others have noted a shuttle to town/back to hotel. I used the shuttle for both and it worked out great. There is also a free shuttle run by the township that will take you to other areas in Whitefish. Including to the mountain resort area. I learned this from the friendly and knowledgeable hotel desk staff. They also recommended hiking trails. I took the advice and had a great time. Used the hotel's jacuzzi after the hike to help relax and recover. The tub was large and the jests powerful. Recovering also included eating in the dining area. Food was good and for being in a resort location reasonably priced. Chocolate Mouse cake was awesome. My room was large and comfortable. Bed w/ pillow top made for a wonderful sleep--but I did hear the train go by late at night and early in the a.m. I was on the third floor w/ windows facing the golf course--couldn't see it due to the trees but that did not stop the sun from shining through at 5:30 a.m. even with shutters closed. Air conditioner in room performed quickly and effectively. Navigating your way inside your room after the sun has gone down and lights are off is a challenge. The entry light is dim--does not cast a lot of light. It is about 12 feet to the next light source. Once in the room proper there are lights but if turned off hard to get on in the dark...And if turned on at night to say use the bathroom--the room would be flooded w/ light. An issue trying to get to the bathroom in the dark which is walled off from the sleeping area. The bathroom light can not be accessed until in the bathroom. Thus the need for a flashlight. The lodge offers a $5 credit fi during your stay of more than one night you don't require housekeeping service. Small token of sharing the saved labor costs. Also noting that the lodge no longer rents bicycles...you will need to do that in town.

This hotel is right on a lovely golf course. The area is surrounded by lush grass and gorgeous flowers. The rooms were very quiet and clean and the beds were perfect. The restaurant is very good and very convenient.
