They were booked up and only had a 2-bedroom left and I took it and am so glad that I did. The suite was crazy clean and very pet friendly. I was able to walk my dog right in front of my door. And it's very convenient to food, etc. in Gardiner (walking distance) and close to the north entrance of Yellowstone (maybe a 5-minute drive). I'd definitely stay here again.

Family of 6 just stayed here for our 2 day visit to Yellowstone. It was INCREDIBLY conveniently located just a couple of minutes from the north gate. Friendly, hard working staff that seemed eager to accommodate. Unit didn't blow our socks off but it was nice, clean, comfortable and had a great view. We would stay here again.

We have just finished a three night stay here at the Yellowstone Gateway Inn. We booked somewhat last minute when a trip to Glacier was cancelled. Our tour guide, MacNeil of Yellowstone Insights, recommended staying here. His suggestion was GREAT! When we arrived we were told we were upgraded from the Deluxe Two Bedroom Suite to their home just across the street. WOW! The two bedroom house had two bathrooms, a full kitchen where everything was brand new, a dining room, living room with two full couches and a brand spanking new outdoor grill. We were the first ones to use it! The home was spotless and extremely quiet. Additionally, the home was equipped with much more than I would have expected. Complete coffee service (10-cup pot with coffee, filters, sugar and creamer); washer and dryer with laundry detergent; aluminum foil and Saran wrap; shampoo, conditioner & soap. We were amazed! Beds were very comfortable; there were tons of outlets to charge electronics; fine wi-fi service (you shouldn't be spending much time on line in this beautiful place anyway!!!); and three big screen TVs (one in the living room and one in each bedroom). We were simply surprised with this wonderful upgrade and we would have been happy with our original room. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great Hotel in Gardner!

We stayed here as soon as Montana revoked their 14-day travel quarantine, since our in-park reservations were cancelled. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel with outside rooms (so we didn't have to share a hallway), and decent reviews. Yellowstone Gateway Inn knocked it out of the park. We were expecting a small unit with a king and queen bed. We ended up with a beautiful two-bedroom apartment with a large bathroom, giant living room, and eat-in kitchen. The unit was quiet and spotless (and believe me I was looking due to Covid), the king/queen beds were comfortable. The unit was a handicapped unit, and had many more bells and whistles than other handicapped rooms we've stayed in. They spared no expense to accommodate their guests. It had everything we could have wanted along with a few special touches like a water bottle beside the bed, and the elk welcoming committee. The service was also wonderful. We have found our 'forever hotel' in Gardner!

We do winter trips to Yellowstone every year and live 3 hours away so we have it down. We bring the dogs and make the run to Cooke City hitting cross country and snowshoe trails. We have stayed at the Super 8 (next door) and it is good and inexpensive but if you want to step up AND STILL BRING THE DOGS, go here. This is like getting a wonderful one bedroom apt with upscale trim at still a reasonable price. Get groceries across the street, save money, walk the dogs in the morning wit the elk, deer and bighorn sheep. The decor is western and tasteful. Immaculate rooms. Be sure to hit Mammoth Springs Lodge Restaurant and the bar at least once. You can rent equipment there.. Hit the Soda Creek Lodge in Cooke City and see all the wildlife in the park.
