We stayed here with good friends who have come here several years. This hotel was so accommodating, clean, easy, good location. Mike, the owner was quite friendly and worked to make sure we had what we needed (like an 8x10 baking dish!) I would highly recommend but reserve early!

Gem in Gardiner

My friend and I stayed here during the first week of May for our Teton/Yellowstone adventure. What a gem! It sits a bit back from the highway and has some privacy with residential areas behind the inn. Good pricing and the rooms were not at all like a motel or hotel, they are very roomy and feel like home with the furnishings. Staff was very helpful in the booking process to accommodate our needs. Kitchen, dining, and a love seat were very helpful. Elk grazing right outside the window in the morning. I can't wait to bring my husband next time!

We have stayed many times over the years. It's always been a favorite time for us. I'm disappointed that the owner didn't remember me changing my reservation to the following weekend therefore costing me a nights stay.

One rare treat.

It's not every day you find housing away from home that is clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. So check out this place: the rooms have kitchens, large living/dining rooms and super clean bathrooms [with the best shower heads I've come across]. High end appliances and good reading lights next to the beds. I'm not proud of this but I often see things in hotels/motels that, if I were the owner, I would change on Day One. But this motel is the exception. There are little details like Himalayan pink salt [I know, not a necessity of life but an interesting detail], boot trays near the front door for muddy hiking boots, and night lights in the bathroom. My only reservation, and it's vanishingly small, is the walls are loaded with too many framed photos/artwork. I can live with that as the place is spotlessly clean and the furniture very comfy. None of the furnishings are broken, dirty or "sad". Then, if that weren't enough, the owner, Michael, is friendly, flexible, and professional. He obviously has high standards concerning each room as well as the grounds around the motel.

We love to stay at the Yellowstone Gateway Inn every winter to cross country ski in the park. Prices are lower since it's the off season. The rooms are very large- bedroom, sitting room and kitchen. And the kitchen's are fully equipped so you can actually cook in them. They are always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
