Okay, first off we were traveling with a dog and Michael (owner) of the Yellowstone Gateway Inn never disclosed we would have to sign an agreement upon arrival stating we were not allowed to leave the dog alone in our room. We have a very well behaved Lab who we often leave in her kennel when the family goes out for supper, shopping, etc. So this put a crimp in our plans because we did not find Gardiner to be very pet-friendly, especially for dining. Therefore, we ended up doing take-out or dining in other cities before returning to town. A minor inconvenience other pet owners should know about. Aside from the pet aspect, the accommodations this place offers is superb. Top notch facilities and lots of living space. Highly recommend you check this place out. There was a skunk that we often seen walking around towards dusk, but hey...this is a wildlife town...I guess that is to be expected. Would not hesitate recommending this place to a friend. Love the city and loved the view from our room.

Cozy with lots of extras!

Our family loved the comfortable accommodations in the quaint town of Gardiner! The market, post office, and rafting companies were all within just a short walking distance. We enjoyed the elk grazing lazily nearby and the spectacular Mountain View. This hotel has hospitality in the details - every need is anticipated- including an instapot in the kitchen! The laundry facilities were especially nice in the middle of a long road trip. Staff made sure our every need was met, including providing a dog bowl after losing ours a few states back! 😅 I highly recommend making this your place to stay in Gardiner!

My family made a last minute few-day trip to Yellowstone and by time we decided we were going there was no vacancy in the park. Deciding we wanted to focus on the northern section of the park we found this inn and man was it perfect of us. The rooms were clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the location was pretty much as good as being in Mammoth. I’d highly consider choosing the Gateway Inn for your Yellowstone adventure.

We booked this property while visiting Yellowstone Park. The owner was so nice and extra accommodating. We had requested a handicap accessible room. The owner called us and explain that he didn’t have one available. But he did have a house next to the Yellowstone River that he just received. But he was just renovating it and if we didn’t mind not having pictures on the wall we would let us stay there. I highly recommend this hotel. And it’s close to the park.

We had a great night here! So close to the park and just a beautiful place. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean which is what we mainly look for. The staff was great too. Thank you Gateway!
