We do winter trips to Yellowstone every year and live 3 hours away so we have it down. We bring the dogs and make the run to Cooke City hitting cross country and snowshoe trails. We have stayed at the Super 8 (next door) and it is good and inexpensive but if you want to step up AND STILL BRING THE DOGS, go here. This is like getting a wonderful one bedroom apt with upscale trim at still a reasonable price. Get groceries across the street, save money, walk the dogs in the morning wit the elk, deer and bighorn sheep. The decor is western and tasteful. Immaculate rooms. Be sure to hit Mammoth Springs Lodge Restaurant and the bar at least once. You can rent equipment there.. Hit the Soda Creek Lodge in Cooke City and see all the wildlife in the park.

Best option in Gardiner!

We stayed at the YGI in February. When we arrived, the woman manning the office very nicely walked us over to our apartment and showed us the features. The features were many! We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. There were 2 large flat screen TV's--one in the living room, and one in the bedroom. They had DirecTv which was a pleasant surprise. The Wifi worked well. It was easy to maintain a comfortable temperature despite the frigid temps outside. The apartment was well equipped, with a fully functional kitchen (not used in our case.) The bathroom was well laid out and even included a make-up mirror, which most people in YNP will not use, but was a nice touch! Most importantly, the whole apartment was spotless. We liked it so much we tried to reserve for our departure night, but it wasn't available. In my many trips to YNP, i've stayed at probably 6 or 7 properties. This is definitely where i will stay when i return to Gardiner.

Weekend trip to Yellowstone and decided to stay in Gardiner for 1 night. Needed a place that was pet friendly. Great little hotel. All updated and had everything we would need. Decided to go to the grocery store and make our own breakfast in the morning rather than eat out. Bed super comfortable and bathroom completely updated. We couldn’t be more pleased. We will certainly be staying here the next time we head to Gardiner.

Small hotel. Big room.

We stayed here for one night so we could visit Yellowstone early-wish we could have stayed longer. The one bedroom is incredibly spacious, and more like a well furnished apartment than a motel. It would readily accommodate two couples or a family of four. The fully equipped kitchen would make a long stay very enjoyable. It would be hard to find a nicer place in Gardiner.

From the initial images given on the website, and the first impression of the outdoors of the buildings, I was skeptical. But the king deluxe kitchen suite was awesome. Everything was updated and modern and better than most hotels we've stayed in! Staff was friendly and when I mentioned we would have a pet, they made sure to put us in a location that was easy accessible to a small grass area. Would highly recommend and can't wait to stay here again!
