We had a suite in the adults only building which was quiet. We had our own area for breakfast as well. Chris at the front desk was excellent. He was extremely helpful and pleasant. We thought the hotel was a bit dated but clean and well priced.

This was a nice hotel. Typical Holiday Inn. Breakfast was very good, very busy, the lady replenishing food was very friendly. The main positive is the location. It is right outside the park entrance. A general store, load up drinks and snacks before going to park, and gas station are located close by and I believe there was a McDonald’s. It should not be over $250 but I guess it’s just supply and demand.

Great place to recoup

We stayed here after traveling from Winslow, AZ and spending all day in the Grand Canyon. The common areas, rooms and pool areas are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was kept stocked and the area was kept clean. The only downside to our stay was there were a lot of rude guests who treated others and the staff poorly. We’d stay here again.

This hotel is as close as you can get to the Grand Canyon at a reasonable rate. Our room had a king size bed in one room and a bunk bed in the other. It had a small kitchen and bathroom with a bathtub separate from the vanity. Beds were very comfortable! The beds on the bunk bed were almost full size. Worked very well for three adults.

Best value in area, not best Holiday Inn Express

There are only a few hotels in Tusayan, just outside the park, and this is the most reasonable, but not cheap choice. The alternative is to stay in the park itself, or drive to Flagstaff or Williams. As noted, facility needs an upgrade--looks brown and old inside. Standard breakfast included, but orange juice dispenser was defective and watered down the juice. Convenient to Tusayan airport for helicopter rides. 6.9% AZ "transaction tax" plus 4% City Tax added to room rate per night.
