We spent 2 nights here and i cant give it enough stars.
The rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was great. The only draw back was the pool/spa was not working ... we booked a king room and got a King suite .. very comfortable and roomy I would highly recommend this hotel.

Good location in pricey area
Our family stayed here for two nights the week after Christmas and it was packed! Front desk was busy turning away people and generously offering to call nearby hotels for availability. Rooms are comfortable but could use some sprucing up. Breakfast area was crowded with a wait for tables. Breakfast staff was working hard to clear tables and refill food. Not much to chose from for dinner options after the park. Pizza/pasta restaurant nearby was ok. Get to the park early as the parking lots fill. We had no trouble with parking close to the Visitor Center at 8:30 am. Hit the South Kaibab Trail down to Cedar Ridge and back for beautiful views and no crowds first thing in the morning. Even the shuttles become overwhelmed later in the day.

Great location, friendly service
We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to the Grand Canyon. I've never seen a hotel as crowded as this was during the week of Christmas. The hotel itself was perfectly fine - clean rooms, comfortable beds, and super close to the park entrance. But, it was so incredibly crowded that going to breakfast was a terrible experience. In addition to constantly running out of food, there was nowhere to sit - we had to carry our food up to our rooms both mornings. The only positive takeaway from breakfast was that the staff (as busy as they were, trying to keep up) was extremely friendly and helpful. They provided us trays to carry our food and also talked to management about the crowding on our behalf. Although the hotel itself was fine, I would not stay here during crowded holidays.

Fine for a couple of nights !
Happy with the choice to stay just outside the park. Not much to speak of in the town (and it’s pricey) so stock up on groceries, gas etc before you come.
Quick drive to the Canyon which worked just fine.
Remember the shower being decent and room was comfortable (if not huge).
Breakfast was a choice of cereals, toast, cooked and fruit with some very friendly staff on duty !
Would have been good to be notified that the pool was not working (closed for refurb) before booking as this was one of the deciding factors picking the holiday inn over alternatives.

My family stayed in this hotel when we visited Grand Canyon. This place is so close to the national park’s about 15 minutes drive to the canyon. It has no restaurant but not a problem because they’re all walking distance. I recommend this hotel, although a bit pricy but no need to drive far to see the magnificent views.
