I reserved a cabin with private bathroom on December 2022 to stay on August 2023. The cabin is small, no frigge,no airdrayer, the rate is too high for the room. Finally ....it was in front of a shared restroom with noisy fan. They told me..if I didn't like I could go away (in the park!!!!). The restaurant is poor, Waiters are unuseful .this lodge doesn't worth so high prices.

Value to cost ratio is off

I have a feeling this cost/value ratio might be off for everywhere in Yellowstone. The real reason to stay here is that Lamar Valley, the Serengeti of North America, starts right across the street. I didn’t mind staying in these rustic cabins with communal bathrooms. But there were so many problems. It was cold at night but the comforters are thin, our bedside table lamp needed a new bulb which never happened. And the communal bathrooms were not great. The shower areas were fine (and had body wash, shampoo and conditioner) but only one working sink—in a bathroom with five stalls and four showers. The other sink just spat out scalding water. I don’t know how often they get cleaned but it also seemed messy much of the time. The breakfast was good and served in a ready-to-go bag: a muffin, hard boiled egg, Greek yogurt, orange juice and coffee. But the coffee station had no sugar because they were almost out, and they wanted to keep the sugar for the restaurant tables. The restaurant was good; we ate dinner there twice and liked all of our meals. The service quality varied but everyone was pleasant. There’s not a lot of options for Yellowstone, so just have your expectations sufficiently lowered.

Great value and historical place INside the park. Camper ish, but you will like it.

Very nostalgic and woodsy vibe and a reasonable place to stay Inside the park. Rooms come in 1 Bdr. 2 bdr. And 3 bdr. Options. Big lobby area for breakfast and lunch and dinner. Nice gift shop next door. So nice you can actually burn wood in the cabin! VictorB

We had cabin with bathroom. They have fixed them up really cute. Very long walk for ice, and coffee. Beds were fine, shower too. We went on chuck wagon BBQ. Excellent experience, the food was good! Even better were the great stories our wagon lady told! They all do a really great job.

Lovely stay close to Lamar Valley!

We had a great stay at Roosevelt last week. We initially had a roughrider cabin booked (with no bathroom). However, a frontier cabin with a bathroom became available the week before our trip so we upgraded! The cabin was very clean and had nice western decor. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to park our vehicle right next to our cabin. We had reservations for the cowboy cookout so it was so convenient to walk from our cabin to and from the stables. We also bought some snacks and wine at the gift shop/general store on site which was handy. The next morning, we woke up before sunrise to head to Lamar Valley. This is the perfect location to stay to get there early, as it's very close by. I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay again!
