The owners treated our family like their own. So many adventures and great ranch hands. Accommodating, kind, and amazing hospitality. We look forward to visiting again! The food was great and served in the lodge for family style dining. We met other campers and really enjoyed all the activities! There were so many activities! The kids swam, rode horses, played pool and sat around the fire making s’mores. In addition to a trip to Yellowstone, downtown Cody, Rover Rafting, and to Cody Rodeo.

What a wonderful place to stay for a week long Vacation. The guest "dude package" was just what we were looking for. 3 days of horseback riding on nature trails around the ranch with beautiful views. A guided trip into Yellowstone to see the lower loop sites, a day in Cody to see museum and town shopping, afternoon whitewater rafting trip, and a night at the Cody Rodeo. Real taste of western life. The owners were friendly and accommodating making sure our vacation was what we wanted it to be. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Blackwater Creek.

I found the ranch online while looking for a place to stay near Yellowstone that was in our price range. It's on a beautiful stretch of U.S. 16 about 15 miles from the Eastern entrance to Yellowstone and about 35 miles from Cody, WY. The first thing to know is the ranch is run by likeable people who create a comfortable atmosphere. We stayed there in the Lodgepole cabin for 5 nights. The cabin was a twin with a common wall with the other cabin. The cabin was perfect for us and had shower, sink and toilet. There was a small built-in electric heater in the bathroom if you need to take the chill off in cool weather. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was a quiet place to sleep. I'd stay there again. We were told that the ranch primarily attracts people who sign up for a package of western activities like horseback riding, that also includes a day where they're taken to Yellowstone. The ranch rents a few cabins to people like ourselves who just want a comfortable place to stay near Yellowstone. If you're just staying in a cabin, you can arrange to eat breakfast and supper there if you want, or you can eat elsewhere. We had supper there each evening which was a full course meal with desert. Internet access is very limited even in the main building and you won't have WiFi in your cabin. As with much of the Yellowstone vicinity, bears live in the area and you must leave all food and beverages in your vehicle. Consequently, there is no refrigerator or microwave. If you need one, bring your own hair dryer.

After hitting many dead ends while trying to find a place to stay near Yellowstone, I came across Blackwater Creek and called them instantly. Rebecca was very attentive and looked through many options of cabins and we found the perfect one. It was very affordable, and we booked right away. When we arrived, it was much later than expected due to our long drive from Denver, but they were very happy to see us and showed us to our cabin. It was very cute and perfect for us, (we stayed in Sitting Bull) and we fell asleep almost instantly after laying in the comfy bed. The next morning, we woke up feeling very refreshed and got to see a little more of the ranch itself. We had an insane view out of our window and couldn’t believe it was all real. Breakfast and dinner was amazing. The chef knows what they are doing. The rec center was also insanely nice, with tons of things to do if you wanted to have a day in. The staff was so inviting and made us feel like we were old friends. They even offered to go into town to purchase feminine products for me so we didn’t have to drive into town. We already miss our little cabin and have our next trip planned! Thank you again, Diane and Rebecca!!

The PERFECT spot outside of Yellowstone!

My fiancée and I stayed here for 4 nights. There are so many good things to say, and not one bad thing. First off, great rates. The staff is extremely helpful, and this was the main thing for us. We cannot say enough about how well we were treated by every single staff member. We had needed a specific item, and one of the staff members picked it up for us when they went into town ( about a 40 min drive ) We forgot to bring our binoculars, and they even suggested we take their own pair and to not stress about it. The atmosphere is very laid back, and would give you the shirt off their back. The food was also AMAZING. Breakfast, and dinner was served hot and on time every day. Compliments to the Kitchen! ( if the key lime pie is available, I highly recommend getting it! ) The surrounding area is beautiful, and there is no riff raff what so ever. Cleanliness is a priority to this property, as well. Our experience was so good, that we are already planning on coming back. If anyone from the staff is reading this.. thank you for everything!
