A park bench would have exceeded the comfort afforded us.

The owner is tone deaf. She inputs drama into responses. Park Hotel Yellowstone is poorly restored old house that has every square inch rented at the highest rate it can be. You will have roommates with a paper thin wall between you. Based on comparisons to other restored Yellowstone area hotels, our room was easily the worst we stayed in. Do not drawn in by the term "restoration", Park Hotel has not been restored; it is just old. As I was leaving, another guest shared his story about beds not as advertised. Ours complaint is about pictures of our room misleading at best, noise all day, night and morning and attitude from owner towards a guest. Read her responses!

What a fun and quirky hotel! This was a perfect home base for our trip to Yellowstone with the kids. We got into Gardiner in the evening, and easily got access to the hotel. There is no lobby or check in process, you let yourself in and that’s it! There is a steep narrow stair to carry your luggage up, but we were prepared for that. We had a great room with a queen bed and bunk beds for the kids. It was perfect for what we needed, and had a little kitchen and a living area as well. The only con is that obviously it’s a very old building, with this walls, and someone above us was quite loud late at night. The location is great, and we were able to spend the whole next day in the park, and then come back and have a bonfire out front (they had all the supplies there). We were even visited by some Mule Deer while we were hanging out by the fire! All in all I highly recommend - the price can’t be beat for Gardner! We already have another stay booked for August. Thank you!

Wonderful place to stay!

Great experience - it was very obvious that a lot of thought and care went into the decor and the result is beautiful. The shower stall was stunning - very definitely created by an artist and the towels were top-quality. The beds and pillows are fantastic, we got the best sleep of our lives in them. The small kitchen area was well-stocked with utensils and very useful. I was a bit concerned about the digital access code for the doors and the text communications, but everything worked out very well, the staff is very responsive and friendly. The hotel is very close to the park entrance and to fun and unique stores.

We stayed in the penthouse - this was probably the nicest hotel I’ve been to so far. It has sensational views of Yellowstone from the balcony and is done up so nicely inside to give it a very homely feel; while still seeming like an old-fashioned ranch. The amenities provided were a nice touch and it really seemed that they were eager to make our stay as exceptional as possible! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This hotel is for lack of a better word, “quirky”. I stayed in the top floor room and it’s a hike up the stairs with luggage. It’s a very old looking building. And as such is unique. And I loved it. And the view from the balcony is great. Right into the park with all the elk right there. Really a nice spot and the bed was great.
