The scenery around camp is unreal. It is beautiful in every direction. I LOVED staying here. We stayed here mid September so the days were warm (not hot) and the nights were cool. I was worried we would be cold at night (we opted not to use the wood stove) but the beds were SO warm. The mattress was THE BEST! I was so comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. And the bedding was so warm and cozy. Tents were spacious and so fun to have a deluxe bed in a tent! Everyone working there was nice, helpful, happy. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed just hanging out around the camp more, but we were up early and home late, so didn't hang out as much as I would have liked. I love the fact they have yoga most days AND one thing you should know is that there is hiking in Zion very close to Under the Canvas. There are tons of trailheads just up the road. Next time I want to hike the West Rim trail from Lava Point to Angels Landing or vice versa. Lava Point is up the road as are many other trailheads. Under the Canvas Zion could do better informing guests about all the great hikes just up the road. We ended up asking to find out - but it would be awesome if there was a big map/information in the lobby and something about the hikes in the tents. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The stars at night are unbelievable! My only complaint is that the bathrooms were too far from our tent. Next time I'd opt for a tent with a private bath or ask for a tent closer to the restrooms. It was an easy drive to the main entrance to the park. You should TOTALLY stay at Under the Canvas Zion!

I can't say enough good things about Under Canvas. Our tent was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The amenities there were perfect and made for such a relaxing getaway. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably-priced. We will be back and plan to visit other properties.

Great Experience

Nothing bad to say at all. The rooms were delightful, the staff (especially Kim) were incredibly helpful. Couldn't beat sitting on the deck having a beer watching the sunset, then moving to the other side of the building to sit by the fire and watch the stars come out. Even the bathroom/shower facilities were very well maintained. Sure - you can get better food at a nice restaurant, it's a bit of a drive from the park entrance, and not every tent has bathrooms. But as a camping experience - it can't be beat.

We were staying in Las Vegas for a week and as a special night for our 1st wedding anniversary we wanted to do something different, possibly one of the best overnights we have had together. Traveling from Las Vegas to Under Canvas took us around 2 hours drive, we really enjoyed the scenery and the whole experience. Upon Check-in (to the amazing reception area) we were greeted with lovely friendly staff, so pleasant and welcoming. They explained all the facilities, actives and dining they had to offer and took us to our tent. Our tent was beautiful they had decorated with balloons and banners for our celebration and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was so big and comfortable the decor so apt for the location and added to the whole feel of the place. After hiking in zion national park (30 min drive) we had been caught in the rain, we had a shower in our tent. It was a chain pull to get the water running (smiling right now) i thought it was honestly one of the best showers i have had, i don't know if it was because i was damp and cold but the water was so warm and full experience so soothing. We headed down to the main reception area for our dinner and really enjoyed the meals and drinks we ordered, both tasty and filling. After our dinner we were treated to a guitarist and singer around the fire pit where children were sitting. i felt like i could have sat there forever. It was very dreamy, drinking wine, fire crackling, acoustic songs in a rustic environment made us so happy. We had a walk around the area and cameras don't do the views justice they are amazing, their are swings and out door fire pits everything you would expect. After we went to our tent, lit our fire and cozied down, we both had a great night sleep, it was warm and comfortable and everything we needed. Next day check out was quick and easy. Our experience of Under canvas was 5 star. We would love to come back and stay one day if we are ever visiting again from Scotland. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Loved the glamping experience!

Let me start by stating the obvious... If it's cold, you're in a tent, you will be cold, the bathroom isn't heated so it's cold. The road in was a bit scary with no guard rails but drive slow, ideally during daylight hours, and enjoy the scenery. Now the good... The view from our tent was amazing! Nothing beat the s'mores by the fire and just hanging out playing board games. We had a regular tent (the cheapest variety) and didn't feel like an upgrade would have been worth it. The bed was the comfiest on our whole trip. We started a fire before bed and didn't refill it. I wore a hat at night to help stay warm but there were plenty of blankets and we were there on a very cold night for early October. It would be nice to be able to purchase someone coming to the tent in the morning to start the fire...I definitely would have paid for that as an upgrade! There is no wifi and you can only charge USB devices in the tent. Cell service is also spotty. Location is about half hour outside the park. Download offline maps to be sure you don't get lost without cell service. The restaurant sells decent food and alcohol but prices are a little steep so if you plan to hang out in your tent, consider bringing some of your own drinks and food. Coffee and tea were complimentary and there was a water fill up station in the main tent. Our tent was pretty close to the parking lot and bathroom but the noise didn't bother us.. We are coming from NYC though so the ear plugs may come in handy for some. I'm already planning to purchase the bulk pass for next year to see more parks around the US!
