We had limited time in AZ and decided to check in with the concierge, Rich Milliron. Boy, are we glad we did. He asked us us three questions: Where is our final destination? In how many days? And any stops in between? With that information, Rich provided us a detailed itinerary to use, if we wanted. We were able to fit in most all of his suggestions in the Grand Canyon and road to Zion and very much glad that we did. We can't say enough about his advise and were very pleased. Rich, thank you so much! Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Canyon were two memorable experiences we would have missed had it not been for you. Everyone, please...even though you may have a detailed itinerary of your own, take the time to stop and see Rich for his suggestions. You *may* want to make a modification to your travel plans. Can't hurt...could help :D

Bad call on our part. The staff was very friendly. The bartender at the Wagon Wheel was very good. The room and what you get for what you pay, was absolutely horrible. With tax they clipped us for $304 for a night. Ok, it’s pricey, but give me something for my money. The room was dingy, dated, and sad. The shower head leaked and ran all over the bathroom floor. The room’s internet was horrible. The tv didn’t line up with what the guide said it was. For $300 a night I expect stuff to be working. This place is way overpriced, old,and in need of repair. We were on a day notice or I would have researched it a lot better. Do yourself a favor, don’t stay here. Management, don’t reply and tell me you are sorry and to try you again. For $300 a night you should be ashamed of yourselves

This hotel is priced about twice as much as it should be. The reason is solely for its location to the South Rim Entrance to the Grand Canyon. Nothing else is closer. It’s been outdated since the early nineties. They get you on price based on the fact that it’s a great place to stay if you want to wake up early and be hiking with minimal drive time. If not your stuck with a drive from Flagstaff in the AM. It served its purpose for one night. Nothing spectacular at all.

The location is great, the closest to the entrance of the park. The Grand Canyon Purple Line bus stops right in front of the hotel, so we took it into the park one day. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants. It has a lounge by the large indoor hot tub and another "saloon". There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn't try it. Wi-Fi was iffy. It worked okay for vacation but I wouldn't want to depend on it if I had needed to work from my room. Our room was very clean. Staff was upbeat.

We had high hopes for this hotel. Looked great on the website. 3 miles from an entrance to the Southern Rim of the Grand w. Received several emails suggesting activities and recommending their concierge. Concierge never responded to my emails. We arrived late and our room was located in the furthest spot from Reception and the restaurants. We had no WiFi so I called reception. The phones in the room did not work and the room smelled very strongly of chemicals. Reception said that our room probably wouldn’t get WI-FI because we were so far from reception and the hotel was fully booked; system couldn’t keep up with the users. Also, there were no more blankets available because they had given them to other guests. When I complained, she said I could talk to the manager the next day but she couldn’t help me. When I checked out, I told them why I was leaving early. That receptionist apologized and reduced the fee on the room. I am glad she did that without asking but I would never go back there.
