Good location, poor hotel

The only reason to stay here is that you are close to the south rim entrence if Grand Canyon. The room is poor with a inside balcony overlooking the restaurant...strange. The restaurant is by the way amazingly bad. Complained at the waiters and they did not do anything with my feedback. Beds are very small and poor. Pool is small but fine. Outside there are some good restaurants like Big E. I was happy to leave the hotel..

Well managed motel-style accommodation

Due to its close location to Grand Canyon national park a very convenient place to stay. The hotel is huge with several buildings on the compound, and more of a motel with parking close to the rooms. You can walk from here to shops and restaurants in Tusayan, the IMAX is next door. Room service is reliable and efficient. Some rooms have only view to the indoor spa and dining facilities which makes them dark and feels claustrophobic, but management was very flexible and could accommodate us in a room with an outdoor view in another building.

We has dinner at buffet... food was nice not too many choices. Waiters gentle . Once we git the bill ... we has been charged adult price also for a kid and 15% gratuity ...for a buffet????? At the end we has spent less in Las Vegas at the Venetian... think about it.

This was the hardest place to find. It took several calls to get someone who could help us find the place. It is huge. And for the top dollar price I expected solid WiFi. Took several attempts to get on. Location in the room was critical. Sit in the nice chair and get knocked off. Sit on the marble luggage slab near the door and do not move and you can maintain connection but it took almost 5 min of spinning wheel to load my 12 emails. News readers were too much of a load and texting a photo was a 4 minute event. Forget FB. The front desk claimed to have called a maintenance guy. If they did he never got around to stopping by. The room was clean and the shower was great. But for the price we paid I really expected the WiFi to work at least as well as Motel 6. Nope. Ahh well I can read a book.

Nice place to stay

Rooms were very clean. Pleasant staff. Amenities were a bit worn, but still good. Wish there was a better guest coffee area. Check in and out was a breeze. Nice breakfast buffet you could purchase that was very good. We had zero complaints overall.
