This just wasn’t it for me. I totally understand this is a very touristy area so prices are high, but what you get here for the price you pay is just not right. The room was outdated but clean however the bathroom was not clean and here I found a very old and dirty ironing board. The whole property can use some renovations. I stayed in the main building but expect some walking to the reception when you have a room in one of the other buildings! Leave your luggage in your car and take them to your room after you checked in. It wasn’t all bad. The location to the Grand Canyon couldn’t be better. That’s basically it and the main reason why you should consider staying here. Didn’t use the restaurant and pools (indoor and outdoor) so can’t review on that. Next time I visit the Grand Canyon area I might just spend a little more for a better place, or just pay less for this so that it is worth the price. Wont recommend.

A nice hotel and the price was reasonable. Not a lot to do in Tusayan but it was very convenient to the National Park entrance, less then a 5 minute drive. The drive from Williams, AZ was a pretty much straight drive and took about 45 minutes.

Don't let the staff put you in the wrong room

We got in very late, tired, and hungry. When we booked, earlier that week, we paid a little extra to get a king bed rather than the regular double. After checking in, we went to the room and noticed it was a double. We called the front desk and alerted them of the mistake. The staff member who answered the phone told my boyfriend that the room we booked was whatever they had available, which I knew was not true. As my boyfriend tried to explain, the staff member cut him off and told him to come back to the front desk and they would "give us what we wanted", as if we were asking for an upgrade we didn't deserve. When we got back to the front desk the guy didn't even talk to us, just tossed a room key across the desk to us and went back to looking at his computer. Mind you, there were no other guests at the counter, so it's not like he was too busy to talk to us. He didn't apologize or anything; just looked at us like we were being difficult. ROOM: The room was basic motel. I get that this is in the Grand Canyon area, but I found out later that there were other hotels, on the same street, that didn't charge nearly as much per night. My fault for not thoroughly vetting, but this place is seriously ripping people off. The rooms definitely need renovating. The tub and sink were not cleaned properly, so there were random people's hair and dirt all over. One thing that really bothered me, were the "balconies" on the first floor. They are not closed off, so anyone can just walk up to your door from the parking lot. Plus, the lock on the "balcony" door was an ordinary push lock, like the kind on a residential bathroom door. Did not seem safe, at all, and I had to push the chair against the door, to go to sleep, because I did not feel safe. AMENITIES: Since we got in so late, and the hotel had a bar & grill, we stayed at the hotel for dinner. The prices were ridiculous, the food mediocre, and the place closed way too early (in my own opinion); I believe it closed at 9:00 PM.

Total Dive

This “hotel” was a total dive. It was about 40 years overdue for a renovation. The carpets were deplorable, there were stains on the headboard, dust on the furniture and our front door was warped and had trouble closing. There was a random “vanity” sink in the entranceway that had hot water coming out of the cold tap. Weird. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. It was clear they wanted little to no interaction with their customers. Our room had a balcony which looked out over a tacky and noisy atrium. It smelled strongly of chlorine due to the hot tubs. Housekeeping was at least reliable. They provided clean towels and made up the bed daily; for that we were appreciative. Parking was a nightmare. The hotel was very close to the Grand Canyon but seriously, do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn next door. We did not try the food at their restaurant. Due to the poor condition and care of this facility there was no way I would try to eat anything prepared in their kitchens. For over $200 a night, this was by far the worst value and the worst place my husband and I have ever stayed while traveling. It’s a crappy motel, don’t be fooled.

A bad attitute towards customers.

No attention to the customers. At a busy season like September, no service of any type was available. Reception was not attentive either. As there was NO room service, their policy, at lease they could reply by phone. Calls were cut off several times with no effort to call back. A very dark room, as opposed to advertised bright rooms.
