Cute and cozy place to rest
My wife and I were in Moab during the Thanksgiving week. We had no reservations and drove up to find availabilty. Very clean and have dog friendly rooms. The shower was really neat the like the layout of the room. I had my mountain bikes with me and they have a dedicated room near the office where you can store them. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions on where to ride and eat. It was a bit more than the other hotels but I was too tired to look around anymore.

Will stay here again!
The room was just as described and we loved it! It did not look or feel like your typical hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We would stay here again and would recommend the same for anyone.

Good but not that quirky
Stayed here for one night on our road trip as Moab looked like an interesting town near Arches National Park. Although the hotel is nice enough and is right off the main street close to restaurants and shops, I’m not sure it lives up to all the hype from a lot of reviews I read. Our room was a good size and very clean and there’s plenty of parking. Buffet breakfast was OK but very similar to lots of other hotels I’ve stayed in. People have described the Gonzo as “quirky” and “wacky” but I’m not sure colourful cushions and chairs make a place quirky or wacky. Anyway, I don’t have any complaints about the hotel, it was fine for an overnight stop but I was puzzled about one thing – where was everybody? We were the only 2 people at breakfast and we didn’t see anybody else around the hotel only people working. As we were there in August, I thought this was odd and didn’t give the place much of an atmosphere. Slightly disappointed.

Not worth the money
Cool place in a good location. our suite was way overpriced for the experience. the room felt dirty with sand on the coffee table. the AC unit in the bedroom would not shut off even after we complained so we had to unplug it.

Dog friendly hotel
We don't have dogs but our friends do. I don't feel attached to staying here again but the place is fine. The layout is pretty cool and our room was huge. Huge shower but no tub. The bed was really comfortable and the towels were really soft and fluffy.
The rooms weren't super clean but they were updated quite a bit. Drawers in the kitchenette were not wiped out and the floors on the bedroom were dusty. The fridge and microwave weren't very clean.
All in all the place was fine. I just would have expected it to be pretty polished up for the price that we paid. I probably would have given 3.5 stars if that were an option.
