From all the reviews, I was excited to stay here. While it was ok in some ways, it was also mediocre in others. Our carpet was stained. The set up was nice, but our room smelled a bit like cigarettes. We needed a. ADA room and I was assured that we would have a roll in shower. We didn't. In fact the shower was not good for anyone. The showerhead drove me crazy. The regular one spot water at me and then got stuck. The one that was for someone in a wheelchair wouldn't stay put. The sink...not good. The pressure was crazy and it sprayed everywhere. The way it was in a shallow bowl was weird too. The toilet wasn't in ADA regulation either. It was in a cubby. The air conditioning was sooo loud and annoying it made it hard to sleep. The patio, while could have been great was overrun with bushes, making it hard to use the gate. It was not wheelchair accessible either as there was a 4-6 inch ledge and a big bush in the way. Also, the door to the front lobby and outside was locked for a certain amount of time overnight. So, if someone in a wheelchair needed out, they'd be trapped... or have to bail off curbs and ram bushes or stairs... so not really possible. Also, not sure if this is a bad thing, but the place was empty. No one at breakfast. No one at the pool. No one anywhere. A couple of workers... maybe they live and works their? I dunno. Just strange to me as Moab itself was busy. On a more positive note. The room was nice and big. The grounds and surrounding area was great. The lobby was cute as was the sitting area inside and out. All in all, it wasn't the worst, but certainly not the best. I was expecting something great, funky and fun. To me, it was not that. The pictures are deceiving for sure.

This little quaint inn is perfect for the couple that wants to get away. Great attention to detail and the front desk is incredibly informed and friendly. Unlike most hotel around I would say this place is quite with out as many children. Definitely will be returning in the future.

We spent 6 days on the Colorado with OARS- a wonderful journey. Prior to departure we spent our first night at The Gonzo Inn and ended our trip there as well. The Inn had a high element of funk, its location was central, the breakfast was included and the staff was exceptional. We needed to leave a day early and there was no hassle. The welcoming chocolate chip cookies and cold cucumber water were the perfect respite from the desert heat. Another additional benefit is that is located right across from a liquor store, grocery store and camping gear store, selling used equipment and clothing. We shall return.

A great little boutique inn.

We like to stay at local inns or hotels when possible. This was a very nice place. Just a block off the Main Street, close enough to walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Super nice people work there. Good breakfast. Cookies and coffee available all day. Great bed and pillows. I highly recommend Gonzo Inn

We have stayed in this place for years, and love it. Yes, it’s can be pricey in high season, but it’s quiet, and comfy, and well located in the center of everything. If you want brand new or luxury, look elsewhere. If you want clean, comfortable, friendly and funky, this is your place. Note: if you are on the ground floor, in certain parts of the hotel, you might hear your upstairs neighbors, particularly if there are a number of them, and they step heavy.
