We arrived at night for a one night stay at Monument Valley, and the view in the morning was amazing amazing amazing. For some reason, it never occurred to me that Monument Valley is in a valley. So the hotel is on a cliff and you can look both down and up from the balconies of the rooms. The staff was great too. We took lots of pictures from the room before breakfast and our guided tour.

We checked in late but the full moon gave us a glimpse of the valley. It may have been dark but we could tell that we would be awestruck at sunlight. We were on the first floor and others in our group had the third floor. Both levels had extraordinary views. I actually think any room will have a great view. Our rooms were newly renovated and the decor and bedding were tastefully done. Five stars!

My son and I spent 2 nights in a premier view cabin. Cabin 21. We were there in November, so it was off season and cheaper. But I think I’d pay for the same thing no matter what. I’d highly recommend a premier view cabin if you’re doing them. The back row cabins are raised above the front row, so you can still see the valley. But you have a row of cabins in front of you. We were able to sit on our porch and take amazing pictures of the sunrise in the morning, along with time lapse videos. The cabins are a 10 minute walk, or few minute drive from the hotel. We didn’t have any windy, sand issues others have mentioned. We had a breakfast at the hotel, which was alright. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. The dinner was nice. My son had the fried chicken, which was good. I had the mutton stew. It was okay. Everything was kind of soft. The gift shop was expansive. Prices were on the high side. But we did get a few things. And the gift certificates we got for staying were nice. You can only use them on handmade items. But most of the handmade stuff was 50% off. We did an awesome tour with 3 sisters tours. Loved it! We visited Goulding’s, which we got some items from their gift shop too. They have a very well stocked grocery store too. I can’t recommend The View enough! It’s really all about the view. I could sit on that porch all day long! It’s breathtaking!

Yes, as most reviews mention the view is amazing! We stayed on the second floor and enjoyed the changing view depending on the lighting of the day or night. Room was clean and comfortable. It was nice having a balcony to watch the sandstone buttes of Monument Valley. Food at the restaurant was OK, not great but prices were reasonable. Hotel is pretty basic with not much to do compared to other national park hotels. I wouldn't spend more than one or two nights here. One day is enough to take the 17 mile drive in the park and the 3.8 mile wildcat loop trail hike .

The room was immaculate!!!! The view from our balcony was jaw dropping!!! We really enjoyed our meal at the restaurant (tacos), the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Monument Valley, the stay here is an experience in itself.
