We stopped here on our way from Fresno to Las Vegas, to stay the night. We chose this place instead of the other hotels in Death Valley, because the price was reasonable. The room we had was large, clean and had all the features one expects of a hotel. The room was at the end of the building, so we had almost a direct access through the side door. We tried the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. All the personnel were very friendly and always helpful. Answering all our questions and giving us tips, when possible. We would most likely come here again, since the hotels in Death Valley have increased their prices considerably since the last time I was there. Before we left, we went out through the back door for a stroll and were quite surprised to find a beautiful little park with a large pond and many items of the past, such as old wagons, a mine wagon and two duelling cowboys made of scrap metal, etc. In addition, we saw a swimming pool and came across ducks and geese which we fed from a food dispenser located on the fence of the building. The reason for our rating not being excellent is, because we bought some candy bars and an apple when we checked out. The apple was rotten inside and the candy bars tasted past due, like they had been in the shelf for a very long time.

We enjoyed our stay at Longstreet while visited Death Valley. The rooms were large, clean and the suite we got was very comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurants and like the rooms,Dog friendly property and since our pooch is well behaved, she cost nothing here. The meals represented good value and quality for the money. We'd stay again.

Very nice acommodation. Though it is located "in the middle of nowhere", it is still quite near to Death Valley and Area 51. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel with small lakes, swimming pool and many little memories of old times. Clean and spacious rooms.

Cheap hotel at a not-cheap price

This hotel-casino must cater to a very shady clientele, because every room featured a notice on the mirror that listed the inventory of sheets and towels and a price list of what you would be charged if anything went missing. Apparently their visitors must steal the threadbare small towels and old sheets on a regular basis. Not the sort of sign you would see in a place with a touch of class. Very basic decor like in a 2-star motel. On the good side the room had a nice view to the pond and a small patio, and there was no smell of smoke like I have had in other casino hotels.

It is one of the few places that are close to the entrance of Death Valley NP. It is a hotel with a small casino. We requested for a quiet room and got one away from the casino, but still at night could hear faint continuous sounds. Though it did not bother us too much since it was not at all loud and we went back to sleep. Bathroom toilet had water flushing by itself but was intermittent and thankfully stopped at night when we went to sleep. I am sure that the front desk would have immediately changed our rooms if we had called them, but it did not disturb us at night and we did not want to change rooms after settling in after a long day so we just let it be. It has a small lake with ducks and a gazebo, which was nice. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good and the burrito and potatoes were really tasty. There is no gas station nearby and you would need to drive 17 miles away to fill gas. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. Felt it was little expensive for the comforts provided. Would stay here if visiting Death Valley again.
