Hot, hot and hot everywhere outside. It was great to enter the lobby, where slot machines are on the right side. Casino feeling! There is a small room kind of a museum too... A general store is also there next to the reception desk.
We felt OK there! Choose a lakeview room with balcony.

Great Great place
The rooms are dated but clean and extra large. We had a good night's sleep in a quiet environment. Alternative restaurants are a bit far so we opted to eat on premises and the food was of good quality and reasonably priced. We so enjoyed the relaxing outdoor pool and not over heated Jacuzzi. Death Valley is a great place to visit and this property is one of the closest to the Western entrance. All self contained. Even though it says Casino very few gamblers were there and there was almost no smell of smoke. Other times of year it might be a different story. Enjoyed this stay.

Comfortable rooms--good restaurant--gambling odd
Right outside Death Valley--quirky decorations in lobby--rooms were large and comfortable--restaurant had the basics and was very good--Slot machines were a pain--you do not receive a ticket or immediate cash--you have to ring for service and a very sweet girl comes--asks you to sign and gives you the cashout money from your machine--every time this is necessary--we would have gambled more but it was a pain.

We stayed here overnight when we visited Death Valley for the day. It is not the closest place to stay to Death Valley Park but it is also not as high. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean, the staff was nice and helpful. The landscape was nice in the back, watching and feeding the ducks a plus. The negatives from my point of view is, no mini fridge, no microwave and the AC didn’t cool the room good. For a non branded motel it was good, I would stay here again if needed.

Quirky but perfect
We stayed in August family of 2 adults 2 teens on a stop from Yosemite to Las Vegas. This hotel was brilliant, it was so quirky and different and just made us giggle. Resident cat had its own table and chairs in Casino, dodgy mannequin in bar and your eccentric nan’s lounge in the middle of the casino!
The rooms were really big as were the 2 beds and clean. The pool and jacuzzi was overlooking Death Valley and was open till really late. The restaurant had typical homemade food ie meatloaf and veg which was lovely after a week of burgers, but had your stereotypical American food too. Staff were super friendly, apart from miserable lady at bar, and helpful. Laundry facilities good. Would totally recommend and would stay again too.
