Picture perfect log cabin, set atop a hill giving a view of the desert countryside, with trails to a beautiful view to the south. Traditional log cabin construction before the advent of "kit" homes. Wildlife comes within viewing distance. Hosts are wonderful, dog is friendly, although crayfish in the pond weren't fond of being picked up, who knew! Very quiet at night, beautiful.

This is a wonderful log cabin just a few minutes outside of Mancos, It is about an hour from the Durango airport, and only a few minutes from the entrance of Mesa Verde. Although small and compact, this cabin has everything one might need for a great stay in the secluded quiet of the area. The owner (and his dog) are friendly and welcoming, with a small pond and plenty of walking space just there on the property. It is NOT a fancy hotel with all the amenities, but a quaint a log cabin with quiet and beautiful views. This is a wonderful place to stay. Don't overlook it!

This was the greatest place we had the opportunity to spend a couple of nights during our bucket list trip. Bob and Sue were so very special and made us feel like family. The lodge and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. We had delicious breakfast each morning, shared with the company of Bob and Sue. There is not enough words to express the total excellence of the Sundance Bear Lodge. We liked it so much we did not want to leave. If we have the opportunity to travel to Colorado again, we will definitely want to stay at the Sundance.

This is wonderful B & B. We experienced a most delightful sunset in the shadow of Mesa Verde and were able to relax just like at home. Our accommodation was fantastic, and Sue and Bob are delightful. We enjoyed our time with them, and they even got up early to ensure we had breakfast and snacks before our early morning departure. This is a great place to stay - only minutes away from Mesa Verde, and close to Durango and other amazing western Colorado attractions.

We spent a few nights in Mancos at the Sundance Bear Lodge in the summer. It was a wonderful place to stay while we visited Mesa Verde National Park. The proprietors were lovely, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area, and the food was delicious. It is close to Durango and Mesa Verde, a great place to stay if you want to spend some time in the area.
