The Wetherill Inn exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms were modern, spacious, and clean (and with plenty of hot water!). I would say very good value among the available options. The breakfast was good, but the one knock I would give them is that it was disappointing that the breakfast room provided only the usual styrofoam and plastic utensils. It is always off-putting to me to see, and contribute to, the heaps of trash.

This is an older well kept Motel that allows a nice base to explore the region. It is close enough to all the attractions to allow you time to see things. Not a Spa Location but clean breakfast was good and service was nice.

This is an older motel (I stayed here in the 1970s), but our room was up-to-date, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the standard motel breakfast, but seemed to be very well-run. Desk staff was friendly. This was a good value in high-priced Kayenta. No complaints.

Not a lot of choice out here but as it goes it’s a good choice. Clean comfy and actually quit quiet. Breakfast was ok, lots of boxed cereal to choose from, toast, bagels pancakes, the usual and they serve it from 6.30am . A bonus if you want to see Monument valley sunrise which is a 35 minute drive up the road. All in all we thought it was good value compared to the rest. One thing to note is that restaurant choices are dire- fast food burgers or one of two small looking diners both of which close at 9pm. Recommend you bring your own dinner or eat big lunch first!

Good

We had a king size room on the ground floor. The room could have been a bit bigger as we had quite a lot of luggage to stow. Also it was quite dark, probably due to the decor and brown carpet, and it did smell a little musty but, perhaps, this was due to the age of the property. However, the bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were lovely and crisp. The towels in the bathroom were luxuriously thick, unlike most motels, and there were little toiletry extras like body lotion. A continental breakfast is provided with extras like pancakes and boiled eggs. We stayed 2 nights and on both nights the hotel was full, I guess this is due to its location to Monument Valley (22 miles). It isn't cheap for what is essentially a 2 star property but it's a question of supply and demand. Also everything has to be transported in over 180 miles which has to be factored into the price, of course. The staff on reception are very helpful and knowledgeable. So if Monument Valley is on your bucket list, then I recommend you stay here.
