I write a lot of reviews. I spend time writing reviews to give others an idea of what to expect when they travel. Where possible, I include price. Since we planned to see Monument Valley the following day, we booked a double queen room for a total of $196.08. The nearby Hampton Inn was booked-up when we were making reservations, or we would have stayed there. Additionally, all of the Hampton Inns that we stayed, on our trip, were considerably cheaper than Weatherill Inn. We arrived later in the evening and we took the final parking space that was available (next to the office). Parking is an issue and they should create some designated motorcycle parking spots so that vehicle parking is more plentiful. The desk clerk was friendly and expedient with check-in. The room was large and uncluttered. The sink vanity is located outside of the restroom. Though the room is older, it was clean and was maintained. The issue that we had with the room was the transmission of noise. Hearing the people in the rooms of either side of us was bad, but there seemed to be a practice session for a ceremonial stomp dance coming from above. I got very little sleep as there was loud walking, dancing, etc. above me throughout the night. If you are kept awake easily, request a room on the 2nd floor. The breakfast room is somewhat cramped and perhaps 12 people can squeeze in – they should utilize some of the spacious hallway to create more room. Challenging is the word to describe for anyone to access breakfast items - even if taking them back to your room. It is a continental breakfast offering and has very limited gluten-free offerings. There is a swimming pool but we did not use it during our one night visit. Those with mobility issues would encounter great difficulty in using the restroom/shower, and possibly with other aspects of the property. There is no 2nd floor access. I see some reviews call this place a “gem” – it is not. It isn’t terrible (aside from the noise), but this would be a $60-$80 room along many American highways. Overall, the value for the dollar was simply not there. Once a couple more hotel chains figure out the proximity model for Monument Valley, I think Weatherill Inn will come back down to earth with pricing. If it had not been for the excessive pricing (for the offering) and the excessive noise, I would have rated the Weatherill Inn higher.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, i just wished it had a microwave (there was one down the hall in the vending room). The room was large, TV good, heater worked well, and the water was gloriously hot! Shower head mounted a bit low on the wall though, minor inconvenience. Very conveniently located 20 miles south of Monument Valley Tribal Park. Breakfast could have had another protein besides just boiled eggs - but overall was pretty good. Very safe.

A very nice hotel set back from the main road in Kayenta. The room was very large, clean and comfortable, wifi was good and there was plenty of parking. Couldn't really fault it.The reception staff were really helpful with a couple of queries. We were there on a Sunday night and there was limited choice for meals - we went to the Holiday Inn nearby as suggested by the Wetherill staff. Food was quite good but no alcohol is served.

This is the cleanest most well equipped place to stay I have ever been in. The rooms are spotless, the grounds, the parking lot, the office and the pool too. I can't say enough about how satisfied we were here. Our room was close to the pool, the bed was comfy and had great sheets. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was March, the room temperature was just right when dashing back from the fun pool. Kayenta is a small town and this place is a jewel. We will definitely stay here again!
