I think I read before we stayed here that the inn had recently invested to upgrade the quality of this inn. I can see the effort that was put in. Our room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and the curtains and other furnishings were good quality and, I thought, quite nice. We were on the first floor. The air worked and the front picture window was clean (a small point but really makes a difference). It was quiet and we parked more or less right in front of our room. The plumbing is always the most difficult/expensive part to upgrade, so the bathroom isn't large. But there's a sink outside of it and it's all very clean. Can't really think of what else to say. Fine breakfast, cute shop, and of course the location is superb.

Found this hotel by accident and was considerably surprised by the level of comfort and price. Certainly not spectacular, but well positioned nevertheless. Places like the Hampton Inn just down the road had more upmarket offerings, but for a price that was out of this world for a small town overnight stay.

A bit of a step back in time when you stay here. Read the history of the hotel to learn something of local history. The rooms and hotel are older but maintained. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom dated but was mostly clean and yes we checked. Room was quite except for the alarm clock. Breakfast was standard but no waffles. On our morning, no sausage and gravy was put out either. Some confusion with hours of operation and signage. Desk staff leaves at 10pm with no on site manager. After hours phone number on office door. This may be only during winter hours. Price for room was correct for the stay. No elevator for second floor. Easy location on road through for Monument Valley. Okay to stay here and staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had room 120, so bottom floor but we lucked out and had no noise from upstairs. We heard no traffic noise but did have our fan on in the room. The breakfast was a big disappointment: mini muffins, mini biscuits, sausage gravy, toast, hard boiled eggs, canned fruit & cereal. Other than that, the staff were all very friendly & attentive and the room was very clean. The beds were pretty comfortable. Would stay there again.

Good 2 night stay whilst visiting nearby Monument Valley

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting spectacular Monument Valley from Australia. Our room was a clean and comfortable for a good stay. The bed was the best we had stayed in so far this trip – super comfy and large! We had a ground floor room so not having a lift was not a problem for us. In the room was a coffee machine, and small fridge, but no freezer or microwave. No was no room valuables safe. There was a room nearby with an ice machine and microwave for guests to use - where we were able to easily heat some local supermarket meals we bought. There is plenty of off street parking in front of the rooms and the location is fairly quiet with not much traffic noise. There is an indoor pool here but unfortunately it was closed for some reason whilst we visited. A guest laundry is on site which we used to wash our clothes - $1.75 to wash and $1 to dry. The motel had excellent high speed internet. A reasonable continental breakfast was included. They had the usual variety plus peeled hard boiled eggs and waffles. Kayenta doesn’t have a lot of variety for meal outlets/options but we only stayed 2 nights so it wasn’t too much of an issue.
